From a little town in Arkansas called Oden, Crystal came out to a Christian Bible School here in Loveland Colorado. It was October of 2003. Through the whole week Paul and Crystal noticed each other but never had a chance to talk. At the end of the week there was a hiking trip planned and Paul invited Crystal and her sisters to go along. They had a wonderful day and finally had a chance for a little conversation. Bible school ended and Crystal went back to Arkansas thinking Paul was a really sweet guy. After talking to her parents about Paul they prayed with her. She had just come out of a relationship and didn't want another one, so she was torn because she really liked Paul. Crystal wasn't sure what God had planned for her. That Thursday night there was a prayer meeting at Crystal's little country church and the pastor prayed for her not knowing her prayer.
Her prayer was; God if Paul is the one then please let me know in some way. And you know the very next morning Crystal's mom answered the phone and said there was a Paul Esh calling for her! Crystal and her mom both cried because to them it was a sign from God. After talking for nearly two hours Paul and Crystal knew from the very beginning they were meant to be together. They had a wonderful courtship and got engaged on New Year's Eve of 2003. They flew back and forth between Arkansas and Colorado just to be together, which became very expensive! As a result, the engagement didn't last long and they were married at the Faith Evangelical Church in Loveland Colorado on March 27,2004. They have had and will continue to have a wonderful marriage.
